How we work with you
How we work with you – Whether you are looking to make an investment, have your pension reviewed, put together a savings plan or for us to conduct a full cash flow planning exercise for you, we always follow a tried and tested process.
A full schematic of ‘how we work with you’ can be viewed by clicking on the image below. An outline of our advice process is shown below.
A free non-obligatory meeting
This may be at our offices or at your home. We always work in pairs of two Financial Advisers. This means that if you become a client then there is almost always one of us available who knows you well and who can help you when required. In this meeting we discuss your financial aims and your objectives and your reasons for seeking advice. We will provide you with our Terms of Business and the Explanatory Guide About Financial Advice produced by our regulator, the Financial Supervision Commission. You may complete a Confidential Client Profile and Risk Questionnaire with us or take them away with you to return to us later.
As part of the meeting and from the fact find and risk questionnaire we endeavour to find out as much about your financial objectives, resources and attitude to risk. Only by understanding your plans and possible changes in your life can we look to effectively advise you.
From the information you have given us we will look to analyse your position. For example (but not limited to) whether your investments and pensions are performing, do they meet your risk profile, do you have sufficient protection or can we find a better mortgage solution for you.
When we have gathered all the information required then we will send your personal financial report to you. This will contain our recommendations, how they meet your objectives and the charges we make. Following receipt of your report we then like to meet again and discuss the recommendations.
Implementation and ongoing review
Once you are happy with our recommendations we will help you complete the paperwork and put the plan into action for you.
Dependent upon the products chosen you will receive statements every six months from the product providers. If you choose one of our Chase Tailored Portfolios then you will receive a monthly statement.
We plan to meet with you annually to update you on your investments and pensions and to see if there are any changes in your financial circumstances or objectives which may require a change in your investment strategy or provision of other financial products.
